Governor’s Office: Greenlight for Phase One of Hawai‘i’s Re-Opening is Tomorrow Governor Ige announced yesterday the stabilization phase of the state’s reopening and economic recovery. This includes reductions in restrictions for businesses classified as low risk from a health perspective. Today the governor provided further clarification on the specifics of his 7th Supplementary Proclamation which lists businesses/operations designated for reopening, outlines safety guidelines, and includes county-specific requirements. Department of Health: Two Additional COVID-19 Cases Reported Two new cases of coronavirus, both Maui adults, have been reported by DOH. One of the cases is a Lānaʻi resident who has been hospitalized on Maui for an extended time. The patient was transported in early March to Maui for treatment not associated with coronavirus. The patient initially tested negative for COVID-19, but a recent test came back positive. This brings the total of COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i to 609 since Feb. 28, 2020. As of today, 318 cases are travel-associated, 234 are community-associated, and 57 with risk factors unknown [...]

Department of Health:  One Death and One New Case of COVID-19 Reported The Dept. of Health is reporting another death associated with COVID-19 in the state. The 16th death is an Oʻahu woman, over 65 years old with underlying health conditions who had been hospitalized since early April. DOH is investigating whether the cause of infection was travel-related or community-associated.
