Department of Health: 20 New Cases of COVID-19 Reported Twenty (20) new cases of COVID-19 were reported Thursday by DOH. The cases include 17 from Honolulu, most which were associated with identified cases or clusters, as well as three (3) cases on Hawai‘i Island. Community outreach and testing activities are ongoing. Department of Health: Nine New Cases of COVID-19 in Hawai‘i There are eight (8) additional adult cases, and one (1) pediatric case of coronavirus being reported by DOH; all are Hawai‘i residents. Four O‘ahu cases are associated with a new cluster at an urgent care facility, though none of those infected are involved in patient care. Department of Health: 18 Additional COVID-19 Cases Associated with Previous Clusters Aggressive contact tracing by DOH is leading to the identification of additional COVID-19 cases associated with known clusters. Department of Health: Sixteen Additional COVID-19 Cases Reported 12 O‘ahu residents and four (4) Kaua‘i residents are the 16 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 being reported by DOH. 12 of the cases are adults and four (4) are pediatric cases. The risk factor for all of these cases are community-transmission. Governor’s Office: Pre-Travel Testing Option for Trans-Pacific Travel Beginning August 1 Gov. David Ige announced today all travelers arriving in Hawai‘i from out-of-state will be required to get a valid COVID-19 test prior to their arrival, and to show proof of a negative test result, to avoid the 14-day quarantine. The pre-travel testing program begins Aug. 1. Out-of-state travelers arriving in Hawai‘i must get a PCR test prior to arrival from any testing location approved by the Hawai‘i State Department of Health. Department of Health: Four Additional COVID-19 Cases on O‘ahu After reporting 14 new cases on Saturday and 11 additional cases on Sunday, DOH is reporting four (4) new positive cases of coronavirus today, all of which are adults on O‘ahu. There is one (1) new case at the Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, which now has 15 confirmed cases: six (6) healthcare workers and nine (9) residents.
