Department of Health: Three Additional Deaths Reported Today DOH reported an additional three(3) COVID-19 deaths today. All were from Honolulu, had underlying conditions and had been hospitalized. Two were men, one between the age of 60-69 years old and the other between 70-79 years old. The other was a woman, between the age of 70-79 years old. Department of Health: Two Additional Deaths Reported Today DOH reported an additional two COVID-19 deaths today. Both involved men who had underlying conditions. The first was a man from Honolulu, between 70 to 79 years old. The other was over 80 years old, from Kaua‘i. DOH also reported 108 new COVID-19 cases today. A total of 93 of those cases are on O‘ahu, including 46 cases from a cluster at Waiawa Correctional Facility that was previously reported yesterday. Office of the Governor: Tighter Restrictions Begin for Trans-Pacific Travelers Headed to Hawai‘i Late yesterday, Gov. David Ige signed a 16th emergency proclamation that requires all trans-pacific travelers to have a negative test result from a trusted testing partner before their departure to the State of Hawai‘i, in order to bypass the 14-day quarantine. Governor’s Office: 15th Emergency Proclamation Extends Statewide Mask Mandate Yesterday, Gov. Ige issued a 15th COVID-19 emergency proclamation which extends and clarifies the statewide mask mandate which has been in place since April 25. Bottom line for face coverings is: Everyone shall wear a face covering over their nose and mouth when in public. The proclamation also directs businesses to refuse entrance or service to anyone who fails to wear a face covering, unless an exception applies. Governor’s Office: 11 New Trusted Testing Partners for Trans-Pacific Travel, Two for Inter-County On Saturday, the Office of Gov. David Ige announced 13 additional trusted travel and testing partners for the state’s pre-travel testing program. COVID-19 test results from these newly identified partners will be accepted beginning tomorrow.
